API docs and error messages that point at your code
- changelog
Public API reference
There is now a public reference page at /developers for the read-only v1 API: GET /api/v1/problems/:slug and GET /api/v1/daily. It covers a quick start with curl and fetch, every response field, what an error looks like, the rate limit, how long responses are cached, and a few notes on being a polite caller. Signed in, the API reference link sits at the bottom of your dashboard; signed out, it is in the home page footer.
Trail Blaze: your Route on your post-mortem
When you opened someone else's run from the leaderboard you saw the Route: each stop with its split and every submission made there, with code behind a toggle. Your own finished run showed only a Splits table. Players preferred the Route, so your post-mortem now shows it too, including your private code (it's yours).
Error messages that point at your code
We went through every language's compile and runtime errors on the judge and fixed the ones that pointed somewhere unhelpful.
- C# runtime errors used to show only
Type: message. They now show the exception and the lines in your code it came from, asin solution.cs:line N, the same way Java errors do. - Swift crashes (index out of range, force-unwrapping
nil, overflow, dividing by zero, fatalError) used to dump the runtime's raw crash report: threads, registers, loaded libraries, and no message. They now read as one line,Fatal error: <reason> (line N), like a Rust panic. - Rust compile errors showed the right line in the
-->header but line numbers in the 300s in the excerpt below it. The excerpt and the suggestion diffs now use your editor's line numbers, and a stray warning about a harness parameter no longer tags along. - C++ and Swift error excerpts now keep the
^~~caret under the right column, and an error on your first or last line no longer shows the harness's own lines around it.
None of this changes how fast your code runs.
Fixes
- Leaderboard counts. The leaderboard counted every problem you ever solved, including problems that have since been hidden or retired, while your profile counted only problems still listed. The leaderboard now counts the same way your profile does.
- Gold in light mode. Cleared labels, pips and tier headers on Learn were a pale amber that was hard to read on the light background. They are now a deeper gold in the light theme.
- Tile layout on Firefox + Wayland. Tiles could be opened and closed but not dragged in Firefox under Wayland. Dragging now works there too.
